Project Cycle Management
(PCM), Strategic Planning with the Application of Log-Frame
A one-week intensive course on Strategic
Planning and Project Cycle management is also available. The
objectives of the training are:
| » |
understand the concept of project
and evolution of PCM/ZOPP |
| » |
different stages of project cycle |
| » |
understand management task during project
implementation |
| » |
conduct participatory situation
analysis and reflect the results logically in project
planning, and |
| » |
understand the concept of monitoring and
evaluation |
All the steps of Project Cycle Management
and Development of Logical Frame-Work Analysis (LFA) particularly
for environmental projects will be delivered. The process
will be interactive and participatory. The course includes
participant's analysis, stakeholder analysis, problem analysis,
objective analysis, alternative analysis, and Project Planning
Matrix and LFA.
Course Coordinator
Dr. Poorna Kanta Adhikary, a well-known Strategic Planner,
and other experts will direct the course.
Bio-Engineering and
Vegetation Structure for Slope Stabilization and Erosion Control
Bio-engineering is a proven cost effective
tool applied for slope stabilization and erosion control.
This technique provides an information and knowledge for the
integration of vegetation methods with normal engineering
practices. SchEMS in collaboration with some experts developed
a 10 day intensive training course in bio-engineering at different
situation with particular emphasis on:
| » |
methods using vegetation
for protection and stabilization |
| » |
small scale engineering techniques
to complement the vegetation methods |
| » |
description of vegetation species
used in bio-engineering |
The training program is substantiated by
demonstration of case studies and site visits. The course
is delivered by a group of highly skilled and well-known specialists.
