EIA Training Workshop on EIA

| SchEMS is going to organize a Training Workshop
on Environmental Impact Assessment (EIA) from September
1, 2006. The main target of training program is to enable
participants to undertake IEE and EIA studies for development
projects. |
| Objectives of Training |

to enhance understanding
and knowledge of the participants from South Asian
countries on EIA processes and procedures, |
| • |
to provide them an up-to-date knowledge
and skills on EIA and Environmental management tools
and techniques used in EIA investigation, |
| • |
to bring the EIA practitioners and
professional from South Asian countries in a same
platform, which will be instrumental to exchange
and share the experiences, |

to make the participants highly competent
to conduct EIA and implement Environmental Management
Plans (EMPs) in the development project |
