To provide training in Environmental Management and Environmental Impact Assessment(EIA)

To offer short integrated courses in mountain environment, ecology and engineering as per the requirements,

To provide consultancy service on Environmental Impact Assessment and Environmental Management,

To organize in-service-training for personnel of public and private agencies to address their immediate needs,

To carry out research studies on various aspects of environmental management and themes relating to sustainable development in cooperation with national and international organizations,

To work jointly with national and international organization for the protection for the environment, and

To form a network of governmental organizations, NGO/INGOs and independent environmental specialist to develop joint and concentrated efforts to make economic development projects environmentally friendly, economically beneficial, socially sound and sustainable.
