Introduction
SchEMS offers a Bachelor is Science (B. Sc.) Degree in Environmental
Management in the undergraduate program. This course is introduced
for the production of qualified environmental management professionals
with leadership quality and problem solving aptitude. The
unique feature of this academic program is the integration
of scientific, social, cultural economic aspects of the environment.
The Environmental Management degree builds on the understanding
of the planning systems and processes of environmental changes
and offers training in the management techniques, required
to put into effect the principle of sustainable development.

Objective
The main objectives of B. Sc. Program are to:
Duration of the program
The program of study for the Bachelor's degree in Environmental
Management is over a period of eight semesters (four academic
years) covering a total of 120 credit hours. The academic
year begins normally in the month of September each year.
Medium of Instruction and Examination
The medium of instruction and examination in this program
shall be English.
Targeted Groups
Eligibility
The prospective individuals with an Intermediate or 10+2 in
Science, Forestry, Agriculture, Engineering and other related
technical subjects or equivalent from a recognized institution
are eligible to enter into the B. Sc. degree course in Environmental
Management. Besides, the basic academic requirement, an entrance
examination will be held.
Career Opportunity
The candidate should submit the completed application form
and two recommendation letters from the referees. Selected
candidates will be invited to appear in the entrance examination.
An entrance examination will be held normally during august
of every fall semester. Following, the test the candidates
scoring successfully in the entrance test are invited for
an interview. The final selection will be made after the interview
and the candidates are considered eligible for the academic
program.
